Salary: $30.00 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Grande Pointe, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel regularly, and valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional, residential, and poured concrete
Equipment and machinery experience: Concrete vibrators, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, jackhammers, air compressors, nail guns, drills, sledgehammer, and hand tools

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure, handle physically demanding tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should have manual dexterity, be able to perform repetitive tasks, and be capable of handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should possess attention to detail, have good hand-eye coordination, and be able to work overtime as required
  • The candidates should demonstrate sound discrimination and be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

  • The candidates should be dependable, flexible, and reliable
  • The candidates should work well as a team player and be hardworking

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • The candidates should be able to mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
