Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of industry experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of offer and ensure they obtain any required work permits or visas independently
  • The candidates should be available to work nights, evenings, days, weekends, and holidays
  • The candidates should have the ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (mandatory)
  • The candidates should be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical evaluation, and security check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program and hold a valid Transport Canada AME-E license
  • The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and possess a restricted radio operator’s permit
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations as per Transport Canada guidelines
  • The candidates should meet Air Canada medical standards, including passing a medical evaluation, drug and alcohol test, and must remain free of intoxicating substances
  • The candidates should have endorsements on Air Canada aircraft types and possess a current security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to utilize the appropriate tools, methods, techniques, and equipment necessary for performing aircraft maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret various schematic diagrams for effective maintenance troubleshooting
  • The candidates should be able to proficiently use computers and diagnostic tools for maintenance tasks
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a customer-focused attitude in demanding and high-stress environments
  • The candidates should be able to work independently, leveraging resources via phone and computer
  • The candidates should be able to exhibit self-motivation, confidence, and a proactive approach to tasks
