Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of some high school education
Experience: Candidates should have at least one year experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have equivalent, or directly related experience based on one year of experience for one year of education
- The candidates should have some high school education and of related experience or directly related experience based on one year of experience for one year of education
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent and provide a Driver’s Abstract
- The candidates should hold a current Standard First Aid and CPR Level “C”/AED Certificate
- The candidates should have experience using hand and power tools and possess good working knowledge in the operation, maintenance, and safety of small equipment
- The candidates should have experience in custodial, landscaping, or similar roles and hold chainsaw certification
- The candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills and be comfortable handling difficult customer interactions or complaints
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform lawn maintenance and conduct minor repairs on park facilities
- The candidates should be able to undertake routine custodial and cleaning duties to ensure park facilities are safe and well-maintained
- The candidates should be able to respond effectively to in-person requests for information regarding area amenities and park conditions
- The candidates should be able to execute routine and preventative maintenance tasks on infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment
- The candidates should be able to complete trail and signage projects in alignment with park maintenance plans
- The candidates should be able to report maintenance concerns accurately and in a timely manner
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures, and protocols, including the Facility Emergency Response Plan
- The candidates should be able to manage administrative tasks, including timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and completing required online courses
