Salary: $34.70 hourly for 32 to 36 hours per week

Location: Westbank, BC
Shifts: Day, Shift, Flexible Hours, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be reliable, a team player, and creative

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties and maintain daycare equipment and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
