Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to analyze, synthesize, and think critically about complex issues
- The candidates should have newsroom assignment experience and the ability to work well under pressure and independently
- The candidates should have the ability to comply with the requirements for a healthy work environment
- The candidates should have knowledge and understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada Journalistic Standards and Practices and be legally entitled to work in Canada
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have extensive general knowledge of Quebec, national, and international affairs
- The candidates should have excellent knowledge of French, with advanced proficiency in English and  possess in-depth knowledge of newsroom logistics
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate the work of reporters assigned to cover regional, national, or international news for various platforms
- The candidates should be able to vet and edit reporters’ copy and consult, plan, assign, and coordinate newsgathering resources to cover relevant and impactful stories and events
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with CBC/Radio-Canada Journalistic Standards and Practices
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate initiative and sound editorial judgment and report directly to the Managing Editor
