Shifts: Day, Evening, Night and Shift
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Mandarin, Cantonese and Tagalog Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination and CPR Certificate
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects and also monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
- The candidate should be able to provide safety and health education to individuals and their families and also provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
