Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Computerized woodworking machine, Drills, Planers, Gluing machines, Routers, Sanders, Saws
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
• The candidates should be able to work in noisy area and dusty area

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines
• The candidates should be able to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products
• The candidates should be able to operate gluing machines to glue pieces or wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces
• The candidates should be able to operate preset special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products
• The candidates should be able to read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
• The candidates should be able to clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
• The candidates should be able to replace parts as required
