Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have MD degree or equivalent, have fellowship training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus
Experience: Candidates should have experience in both performing surgeries and in postoperative management of surgeries

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should currently hold or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • The candidates should be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Lecturer or higher

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the academic enterprise of the department
  • The candidates should be able to provide clinical and surgical sub-specialty care in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus and will also participate in on-call duties
  • The candidates should be able to assume care of patients in an existing pediatric clinical and surgical practice
