SUNORA FOODS is a Calgary, Alberta, Canada based food oil entity trading and supplying canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, olive oil and specialty oils to markets located in Canada, the United States and Internationally. Sunora has been active since 1990, and operates under the names “Sunora”, “Sunera” and numerous private label brands. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Transportation information: Willing to travel regularly, Willing to travel for extended periods
Work setting: Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), Willing to relocate
Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Computer and technology knowledge: Accounting software, Quick Books, Database software, Internet, MS Excel, MS Windows
Technical experience: Import and export products

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plan, set up and administer accounting systems, train staff, arrange training for staff
  • The candidates should be able to ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control, prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
  • The candidates should be able to prepare reports and audit findings, supervise staff
  • The candidates should be able to prepare financial statements and reports, recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • The candidates should be able to conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements, develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
  • The candidates should be able to analyze financial documents and reports, examine accounting records
  • The candidates should be able to provide financial, business and tax advice, complete and process international purchase orders
