Salary: $17.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: 54 Prince Dr, Bradford, ON L3Z 3B6, Canada
Shifts: Evening, Overtime, Early Morning
Supervision: 16-20 people and More than 20 people
Type of crops: Carrots, Greenhouse vegetables, Herbs, and Onions
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Equipment and machinery experience: Carrot seeder, Onion seeder, Onion transplanter, Harvesters, Tractor, Vegetable or fruit harvester, and Forklift
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage a large workload
- The candidates should be capable of working effectively under pressure and be accustomed to tight deadlines
- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and willing to work overtime when required
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess excellent oral communication skills and be organized
- The candidates should be team players who possess excellent oral communication skills and are organized
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform greenhouse cleaning and harvest seedlings
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizer and implement soil fertility programs
- The candidates should be able to develop work schedules, establish procedures, and ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- The candidates should be able to hire and train staff, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
