Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be computer literate and numerate
- The candidates should have a professional interest in safety and security
- The candidates should have the ability to successfully pass security checks, e.g., background, criminal records, which includes an extended 5-year background check
- The candidates should possess good judgment, decision-making skills, and good communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate diligence and a keen eye for detail
- The candidates should have Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Transport Canada)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess and screen packages to prevent and mitigate possible threats
- The candidates should be able to make a difference in security control by using various screening technology, processes, and procedures to screen packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- The candidates should be able to work efficiently to ensure the smooth running of operations and meet tight and critical deadlines
- The candidates should be able to take part in and verify daily equipment inspections
- The candidates should be able to screen packages and perform secondary searches
- The candidates should be able to safeguard the air cargo network
- The candidates should be able to escalate quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately
- The candidates should be able to monitor general work areas
- The candidates should be able to engage in online and in-person continuous training
