Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program and/or have at least 4 years of industry-related experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license (Mandatory)
  • The candidates should have a valid driver’s license (Mandatory)
  • The candidates should be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check
  • The candidates should be available to work nights, evenings, and days, including weekends and holidays
  • The candidates should be aware that the night shift is the permanent position for this posting, with the possibility to change with seniority
  • The candidates should have the ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (Mandatory)
  • The candidates should possess a restricted radio operator’s permit (aviation)
  • The candidates should be aware that employees in this role conduct safety-critical work, and as such, Air Canada medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and are expected to be free of any intoxicating substances
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location. Please refer to the Transport Canada site for more details
  • The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made. Seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations, which may be required, is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position
  • The candidates should possess current security clearance as an asset

  • The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools
  • The candidates should be able to be “team players” with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment
