Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 4 years of industry experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of any employment offer, and seeking required work permits or visas or other authorizations is the sole responsibility of the candidates
- The candidates should be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check
- The candidates should be available to work nights, evenings, and days, including weekends and holidays
- The candidates should be available for a permanent night shift position with the possibility to change based on seniority and the ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program and possess a Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license
- The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and possess a restricted radio operator’s permit
- The candidates should be able to conduct safety-critical work and meet Air Canada medical standards, including a drug and alcohol test
- The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations depending on the work location. Refer to the Transport Canada site for more details
- The candidates should have endorsements on Air Canada aircraft types and a current security clearance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
- The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate strong teamwork skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities and maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment
