Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2 years of industry experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check
  • The candidates should be available to work nights, evenings, days, weekends, and holidays
  • The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of any offer of employment, and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations is the sole responsibility of the candidates

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program and possess a Transport Canada AME-E license and possess a valid driver’s license
  • The candidates should be able to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit and possess a restricted radio operator’s permit
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations, as per Transport Canada regulations
  • The candidates should meet Air Canada medical standards for safety-critical work, including passing a medical evaluation, drug and alcohol test, and remaining free of any intoxicating substances

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and be proficient with computers and diagnostic tools
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively as team players, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, high-stress environment
  • The candidates should be able to work independently, utilizing resources via phone and computer and demonstrate self-motivation and confidence in their role
