Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years of experience in providing production application support and have experience with supporting Java applications, Secure File transfer, and Batch scheduling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have experience with defining, implementing changes to, and supporting a production application
  • The candidate should possess strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps concepts, Middleware (JBoss & Weblogic), Azure, Linux, and Microsoft Windows
  • The candidate should be familiar with SQL and Oracle Databases, Autosys and Feedhub, and basic network troubleshooting
  • The candidate should make an impact through their influence, understanding that relationships and networks are essential to success. They inspire outcomes by making themselves heard

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to join CIBC’s Remote Banking & Shared Services Technology department to provide technical expertise for small to medium, complex projects/initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to offer technical expertise in the implementation and support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi-platform environment
  • The candidates should be able to contribute their skills to support the successful execution of projects and initiatives within the technology department
  • The candidates should be able to apply their technical knowledge to address challenges and drive solutions in the dynamic and multi-platform environment of CIBC’s Remote Banking & Shared Services Technology department
  • The candidates should be able to evaluate ongoing activities and requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes. Coordinate and/or execute implementation plans to support efficient workflows
  • The candidates should be able to identify and resolve small to medium complex production problems using strong troubleshooting skills. Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions
  • The candidates should be able to be detail-oriented, understanding that success lies in the details. They should have the ability to notice things that others don’t, and their critical thinking skills should inform their decision-making
