Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs
  • The candidates should be able and willing to work evening and night shifts and work in a fast-paced work environment
  • The candidates should be aware of monthly union dues and a one-time $50 initiation fee
  • The candidates should be prepared to be exposed to hot and cold temperatures when working indoors and outdoors

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess a Red Seal 310T apprentice and 310S apprentice license and possession of essential trade tools and equipment
  • The candidates should possess a clean driver’s abstract or  record (obtained within the last month) showing no violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months), no accidents, and a maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
  • The candidates should have strong organizational skills, strong troubleshooting skills and pass a pre-employment road test

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to repair, inspect, and maintain UPS diesel, propane, CNG, and gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner
  • The candidates should be able to operate and test company vehicles within the UPS facilities and on public roads
