Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Lighting system, Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, and Closed-circuit television (CCTV)
Policy and program experience: Apprenticeship training
Equipment and machinery experience: Generators, High voltage equipment, and Hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks and demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work overtime when required
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, should work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install electrical controls and panel boxes, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
- The candidates should be able to keep maintenance reports and documentation, splice, join or connect wires and test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults or integrity of circuits
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and isolate faults, connect power to audio and visual equipment and install surface mount or overhead cables
- The candidates should be able to ground and bond electrical equipment, systems or structures including swimming pools and hot tubs and help tradespersons, apprentices or other workers as directed
