Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 38 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – Remote work available
Location: 2, 2406 Wheaton AvenueSaskatoon, SK S7L 5Z4
Shifts: Day, 08:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle, and Willing to travel
Work setting: Installation, Urban area, Shop fabrication, Various locations, and On-site fabrication
Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training, Level one apprenticeship training, and Level two apprenticeship training

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Custom sheet metal items, Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, and Sheeting and cladding
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Hard hat, Tools
Credentials: Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, CPR Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, and Forklift Operator Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demanding job requirements, including handling heavy loads as needed
  • The candidates should possess manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail for precise and accurate tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, and be able to stand for extended periods if necessary
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required to meet project deadlines

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus and demonstrate dependability
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment and be organized
  • The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues, and exhibit punctuality

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to utilize hand and power tools, read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions, and monitor safety conditions
  • They should also be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment
