Position: Assistant driller – offshore drilling rig

Salary: $91,000 to $123,000 annually (to be negotiated) 84 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Area of specialization: Offshore drilling rig
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to direct rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing oil and gas exploration and producing wells
- The candidates should be able to ensure safety procedures are followed
- The candidates should be able to operate controls of drill or service rig drilling and hoisting machinery
- The candidates should be able to train or arrange for training of crew
