Salary: $15.20 to $16.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 35 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable working in air-conditioned environments
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, work in physically demanding conditions, and have attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should have manual dexterity

- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, flexibility, and reliability
- The candidates should be team players, uphold values and ethics, demonstrate creativity, and be honest
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess children’s development to prepare tailored learning plans, assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, and bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs supporting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, maintain daycare equipment, and engage in storytelling
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, synthesize children’s overall situations for parent communication, and assist early childhood educators in promoting child development through programs and activities
- The candidates should be able to order supplies, assist in record-keeping, and encourage children’s creativity through art, play, music, and physical activities
- The candidates should be able to guide children in eating, dressing, and toilet habits, prepare snacks, arrange rooms for meals and rest, and observe and report potential learning or behavioral issues to parents or supervisors
- The candidates should attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and issues, comply with licensing regulations, establish behavior guidelines, and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community providers
- The candidates should plan and maintain safe environments, organize activities for school-age children in before and after-school child-care programs, and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
