Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 5+ years of experience working on large, complex IT projects

  • The candidates should have a background experience in Retail technologies
  • The candidates should have experience in working with vendors to deploy technology and handling escalation of issues
  • The candidates should have experience in managing small to medium projects using a disciplined approach to project management

  • The candidates should have experience in System Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies

  • The candidates should be proactive and possess strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • The candidates should have excellent writing and verbal presentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to efficiently manage the hardware procurement process and coordinate the installation of hardware in our stores, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and organizational skills
  • The candidates should be able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders throughout the store build process, including new store builds, relocations, decommissions, and renovations
  • The candidates should be able to own the store build process end-to-end, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion of projects
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all hardware requirements are met according to project timelines and specifications
  • The candidates should be able to identify and mitigate risks associated with hardware procurement and installation, proactively resolving issues to ensure project success
  • The candidates should be able to work with the project PM, business, IT, and vendors as the primary Store Technology contact to efficiently manage large-scale technology deployment projects
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with the business and IT to scope, size, and articulate project concepts into clear project objectives, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with IT Technology Planners to develop project plans at a task, milestone, and resource level in an Agile SDLC, as well as complete project documentation
  • The candidates should be able to adhere to a structured project management methodology, ensuring consistency and efficiency in project execution
  • The candidates should be able to assess, plan, and engage project resources as needed throughout the life of the project, working in partnership with Functional Managers within IT to obtain necessary skill sets and resources
  • The candidates should be able to track and manage established plans to ensure all deliverables and milestones are met according to project timelines and specifications
  • The candidates should be able to manage project scope on an ongoing basis using documented change management techniques, ensuring project objectives remain achievable
  • The candidates should be able to manage, motivate, and lead project teams in a distributed agile software delivery model, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • The candidates should be able to manage the delivery of project tasks and deliverables according to time and cost parameters, ensuring project success within budget and schedule constraints
  • The candidates should be able to engage the team on an ongoing basis to identify and manage project issues, risks, and action plans, proactively addressing challenges to minimize project disruptions
  • The candidates should be able to actively manage multiple projects, which may be in different phases, effectively prioritizing and allocating resources to ensure successful project outcomes
  • The candidates should be able to work remotely with occasional travel throughout Canada to store sites, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support project needs onsite as required
