Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Diploma in Industrial Automation and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years experience programming and PLC troubleshooting experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems within a dynamic working environment, provide training or project coaching, build excellence in teams, and motivate others to achieve results

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have proven experience troubleshooting industrial control systems
  • The candidates should have experience in the implementation, integration, and calibration of instrumentation
  • The candidates should be data-driven decision-makers who build effective teams utilizing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. They should have a proven track record as influential leaders within an organization, demonstrating sound judgment, adaptability, and flexibility
  • The candidates should possess strong analytical skills with a proven history in solving complex problems, business, analytical, information system, and computer skills
  • The candidates should have knowledge of current safety standards and regulations
  • The candidates should have knowledge of SAP and CMMS

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to act as a champion for the organization’s culture by participating in the development and execution of a positive and productive environment focused on the needs of the employees
  • The candidates should be able to provide direct support for all automation deliverable actions to align with Automation Strategy Plan and Operational Shift Support requirements
  • The candidates should be able to support a backup and disaster recovery plan for all plant Control and Automation systems, including PLC, PC, HMI, SCADA, Robotics, and Building Automation
  • The candidates should be able to support the Instrumentation program to meet all facility FSQA, regulatory, operational requirements, Predictive, Preventative, and Proactive maintenance requirements for Controls related systems
  • The candidates should be able to work with Vendors and Suppliers to establish strong collaborative relationships and ensure required service and support contracts are current and comfortable with the Escalation procedure and understand the requirement of receiving after-hours calls from time to time
  • The candidates should be able to follow the Facility Controls and Electrical build standard in alignment with the Corporate Engineering standards and troubleshoot equipment in the plant locally or through VPN access when required and mentor team members when necessary to solve equipment controls related issues
  • The candidates should be able to work as part of a team on a rotating shift that covers days, afternoons, and nights with the opportunity for weekend overtime as needed, recognizing the needs of the plant
  • The candidates should be able to maintain equipment level network systems to align with Corporate IS protocols, requirements, OEM support contact list and VPN connectivity
  • The candidates should be able to manage and support facility Building Automation System
