Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Credentials: Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate and dependability

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to review damage reports and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
  • The candidates should be able to replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components
  • The candidates should be able to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • The candidates should be able to hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers, remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, and apply primers and repaint surfaces
  • The candidates should be able to repair or replace interior components
  • The candidates should be able to inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling.
  • The candidates should be able to mix paint, blend, and match colors
  • The candidates should be able to operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • The candidates should be able to straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
