Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have hold a Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in aviation within a regulatory environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to maintain required security clearances to support regulatory and aviation security compliance and or related regulatory security experience security law enforcement
  • The candidates should be bilingual (French and English) if located in the province of Quebec
  • The candidates should have experience with security systems CCTV and familiar with the FedEx network, culture, policy, and procedures
  • The candidates should have standard level proficiency in Microsoft Excel pivot tables and standard level proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • The candidates should have standard level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and proven investigative or research skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills (conducting root cause analysis and completing audits
  • The candidates should possess leadership skills (providing advice or guidance to field management, vendors, government agencies educating or training employees or management
  • The candidates should have solid human relations skills (negotiating, courage to address or resolve conflicts when violations occur, engaging in challenging situations with Transport Canada Inspectors
  • The candidates should have strong communication skills (oral/written/presentation) with the ability to communicate to all levels within the organization, up to executive leadership

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret Canadian and US regulatory requirements relating to aviation security and their implications for FedEx’s operations
  • The candidates should be able to drive and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, minimize security risks, and enhance competitiveness
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and guidance to workgroups and management on all aviation security-related matters, including risks to FedEx’s air network
  • The candidates should be able to represent Canadian Aviation Security both internally and externally
  • The candidates should be able to work and align with Engineering, Ground Operations, and other departments to mitigate aviation security threats
