Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as bachelor (undergraduate) degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Software Engineer, Security, or others) OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience: Candidates need a minimum of 4 years of professional experience with any combination of at least 3 technical disciplines, including the following: cloud security, network security, application security, mobile security, secure development methodologies, software development and coding, identity management, authentication and authorization, network architecture, system administration, and systems engineering, other experience details are mentioned below

  • The candidate should be able to participate fully in the planning of the AWS Security team’s work and constantly seek opportunities for process improvement
  • The candidate should have skills such as troubleshooting, technical, and communication and also have the ability to take ownership and deliver on multiple complex objectives which may include project and software development work
  • The candidate having professional experience with applied cryptography and also having professional experience building or reviewing threat models is preferred
  • The candidate having professional experience conducting security assessments, including penetration testing and also meeting/exceeding Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role is preferred
  • The candidate meeting/exceeding Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role and also having the ability to lead through influence within a secure development life-cycle for multiple products and technologies, meeting customer expectations for security is preferred
  • The candidate having experience in implementing security solutions that resolve security and business risk trade-offs and also having an understanding of networking and communication protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, BGP) is preferred
  • The candidate having an understanding of cryptography, web service frameworks, mobile application architectures, and service architectures (such as event-driven, service-oriented, or serverless architectures) and also having familiarity with reverse engineering or vulnerability research is preferred
  • The candidate having familiarity with physical, infrastructure, or hardware security and also having experience with one or more programming languages (such as Java, C++, Ruby, Python, Perl) for the purpose of code review is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to enable customers to bring great ideas to life in ways that aren’t possible in traditional IT environments
  • The candidate should be able to design security controls and help validate that its services, applications, and emerging technologies are designed and implemented to the highest security standards and also be responsible for analyzing the security of applications and services, discovering and addressing security issues, building security automation, articulating the security posture of a service, and decisively taking action to mitigate emerging threats throughout a full secure development life-cycle (SDLC)
  • The candidate should be able to perform responsibilities such as security reviews for new products, technologies, and services
  • The candidate should be able to secure design, architecture, and implementation and also secure development life-cycle (SDLC) practices including threat modeling and security testing
  • The candidate should be able to influence decision-makers and stakeholders to achieve a consistently high security bar and also conduct network and/or application penetration testing
  • The candidate should be able to create security guidance and documentation and also develop security tools and automation
  • The candidate should be able to develop and deliver security training and outreach to internal development teams and also lead security projects (including security reviews, tool development, and creation of new security practices) with end-to-end ownership
  • The candidate should be able to support for mentoring, team building and recruiting activities
