- The candidates should be able to provide the store with support in maintaining and zoning the bakery area
- The candidates should assist with stocking and the sale of daily baked goods
- The candidates should maintain exemplary customer service by adhering to the Basic Beliefs and values of Wal-Mart
- The candidates should ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
- The candidates should ensure that the department is fully stocked with merchandise and ready for business
- The candidates should ensure that the merchandise is properly signed and priced
- The candidates should adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
- The candidates should adhere to food safety and handling procedures and follow sanitation and cleaning procedures
- The candidates should follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
- The candidates should prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and visual appearance
- The candidates should ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner
