Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 32 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Weekend, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Bakery
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks with meticulous attention to detail, standing for extended periods, and performing physical activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should also be able to handle heavy loads, work overtime when required, and meet the physical demands of the job
- The candidates should handle weight more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with odors, varying temperatures (hot or cold/refrigerated), dust, and wet/damp conditions as necessary for the job
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be efficient in interpersonal skills, flexible, reliable, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety and handling skills
- The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers, as well as feed and unload processing machines
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects, assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, and clean machines and immediate work areas
