Tommy Guns Original Barbershop is a tribute to the 1930s Chicago barbershop grooming but with all the modern amenities and styles of today’s hair salons. We have 70+ locations across Canada and the world from where our guests come to us. Our renowned Hot Towel Shaves, unique styles, and relaxing head massages are the epitome of grooming. Work Setting: Urban area, barbershop or hairstyling salon or studio
Work Site Environment: Candidates should work in noisy and odours place
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have knowledge of blow drying techniques
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to book appointments
- The candidate should be able to cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
- The candidate should be able to shampoo customers’ hair
- The candidate should be able to shave and trim beards and mustaches
- The candidate should be able to provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages
- The candidate should be able to analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
- The candidate should be able to apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
- The candidate should be able to cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
- The candidate should be able to suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences
- The candidate should be able to perform receptionist duties
- The candidate should be able to maintain and order supplies
