Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Hair colouring techniques: Bleach, dyes/tints, frosting, and streaking/highlights
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Barber Licence
Security and safety: Bondable and criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable with repetitive tasks, and possess strong manual dexterity
- The candidates should pay close attention to detail, have good hand-eye coordination, and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong client focus, be dependable, and have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication, be flexible, and have good judgment
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences, shave and trim beards and mustaches, and suggest hairstyles compatible with client’s physical features and preferences
- The candidate should be able to apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair, provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages, and cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair
- The candidate should be able to clean and style wigs and hair pieces
