Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional oven, Electronic cash register, and Grill
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate and Safe Food Handling certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas, set tables, and carry and replace linen
  • The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and load buspans and trays
  • The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, place dishes in storage areas, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans, and keep records of the quantities of food used
  • The candidates should be able to package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • The candidates should be able to serve customers at counters or buffet tables, stock refrigerators and salad bars, and take customers’ orders
  • The candidates should be able to use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, clean and sanitize kitchen areas, and handle and store cleaning products
  • The candidates should be able to receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives
  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and serve food and beverages
  • The candidates should be able to prepare special orders, calculate billing charges, record customers’ orders, take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, and prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
