Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials:Â Bartender certification
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills, being organized and reliable
- The candidates should be a team player and maintain a positive attitude
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to organize and set up the bar, clean the bar area, and wash glassware
- The candidates should be able to hire and dismiss staff, provide recommendations on drink selections, and train staff
- The candidates should be able to collect payments for beverages, order bar stock, and maintain inventory and control of bar stock
- The candidates should enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and prepare mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- The candidates should also be able to take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
