Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 44 to 55 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Spruce Grove, AB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning, 08:00 to 18:00
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer, Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Staff accommodation provided, Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Apiary and honey harvesting experience: Harvesting honey, Honey bees, Honey farm, Knowledge of bee biology, Wax stamping beehives
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Lift truck, Loader
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience or qualifications related to organic farming, with a preference for working outdoors in noisy, dusty, and hot environments
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, walking, perform bending, crouching, and kneeling and work under pressure
- The candidates should be comfortable with tight deadlines, handling repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads and physically fit to meet physically demanding requirements
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, distinguish between colors and discriminate between sounds
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking and stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible, exercise good judgment, be organized, team player, reliable and quick learners
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
