Salary: $23.00 to $26.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: SW27-10-21-W4, Picture Butte, AB T0K 1V0
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system, Loader
Area of specialization: Beef cattle

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work under tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to stand, sit, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle large workload
  • The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp areas, in outdoors, in dusty areas, and in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to feed inventory
  • The candidates should be able to do handling animals and monitoring animal health
  • The candidates should be able to maintain livestock performance records, maintain quality control and production records
  • The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, maintain work records and logs
  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, perform general farm duties
