Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous supervisory experience in a recreational setting
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent physical fitness, first aid certification and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have previous experience in mountain bike trail building, including design, layout, and construction
- The candidates should have working experience and certification in the use of a chainsaw
- The candidates should possess related industry experience in a similar role, a valid driver’s license and strong mountain bike riding skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to design and layout trails according to established guidelines and project requirements and construct trails following defined schedules while maintaining quality standards
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain equipment, including chain saws, various hand tools, trucks, all-terrain vehicles, small excavators, and bobcats
- The candidates should be able to ensure that all employees are properly trained in the safe use of various tools and equipment
- The candidates should be able to maintain all tools and equipment in a safe and functional working condition
- The candidates should be able to complete all required training to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- The candidates should be able to ensure adequate employee coverage for all days of operation to meet project demands
- The candidates should be able to support and assist with on-mountain events and follow and uphold all Panorama policies and procedures in their daily work
- The candidates should be able to interact professionally with guests and staff to provide a positive experience
- The candidates should be able to work within an approved budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and perform any other duties as assigned to support the department’s objectives
