Job Description:

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and demonstrate hand-eye coordination and stand for extended periods
The candidates should be able to maintain attention to detail and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling
The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads and meet physically demanding requirements
The candidates should be able to work under pressure
The candidates should be able to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

The candidates should be able to demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills and be flexible and reliable
The candidates should be team players and able to exhibit excellent oral communication and excellent written communication
The candidates should be able to demonstrate good judgment and uphold values and ethics and be organized

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety and handling skills and transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines and remove filled containers from conveyors
The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers and feed and unload processing machines
The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
The candidates should be able to prepare production and other reports
