Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Truck driving
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles
Credentials: Boom Truck Crane Operator Trade Certification, Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) basic safety orientation (BSO), Mobile Crane Operator Trade Certification, Hoisting Licence, Mobile Crane Operator Red Seal Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Confined Space Entry Training, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and perform physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity and maintain attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to demonstrate hand-eye co-ordination and use sound discrimination
• The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be accurate, dependable, and have excellent oral communication
• The candidate should be flexible, a team player, and hardworking

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to calculate crane capacities and operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
• The candidates should be able to clean and lubricate cranes and instruct apprentices
• The candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance work and operate mobile cranes
