Salary: $17.40 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex, urban area, office building, various locations, school or educational institution/establishment, and retail service establishment
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Cleaning
Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, carpet cleaning machine, waxing machine, steam cleaners, power tools, and power lawn mowers
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in all weather conditions
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and be comfortable with performing repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, be capable of handling physically demanding tasks, and able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary
- The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability, have excellent oral communication skills, and have excellent written communication skills
- The candidates should be flexible, show initiative, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, operate industrial vacuum cleaners, and empty trash cans and other waste containers
- The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, contact tradespersons for major repairs, and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance
- The candidates should be able to perform minor repairs on appliances, supervise other workers, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision
