Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Post secondary education in Public and/or Business Administration, Business Management, data analysis and/or a discipline pertinent to the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to conduct research into a wide range of municipal issues and various assigned areas, ensuring that such research takes into account developments within the field, corporate policies and practices, legislation, budgets, and initiatives by other levels of government
  • The candidates should be able to collect, consolidate, and analyze information from various sources and systems, and prepare reports and presentations to support various activities and coordinate various projects and programs to ensure quality and consistency
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate and assist with facilitating meetings and workshops with divisional or stakeholder groups to support business objectives
  • The candidates should be able to provide support to Senior Analyst and Business Management Analysts in the initial phases of projects and programs with respect to the creation of new service planning processes and subsequent business case submissions, such as service/staff reductions, business performance objectives/measures, grant/funding submissions
  • The candidates should be able to implement detailed plans and recommend policies/procedures regarding program-specific requirements and assist with monitoring all key committee, board, and council meetings to ensure the Division is aware of all relevant information and planning needs for various projects
  • The candidates should be able to serve as a liaison between various City divisions to represent the Division in various meetings, workshops, and communications and assist the Senior Analyst and Business Management Analysts and carry out assigned projects in support of the business implementation objectives and assist with the identification, research, analysis and implementation of business solutions
  • The candidates should be able to provide program support duties for the Division, including coordinating meetings, processing and preparing forms and correspondence, inputting data, and maintaining program documentation, including tracking information to create and identify efficiencies and for audit purposes
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to business/service improvement and achievement by gathering, detailing, and documenting business requirements in a format that is useful to the business area experts and related stakeholders
  • The candidates should be able to provide support in the development of proposed organizational, service delivery, and performance models that are under review
  • The candidates should be able to prepare comprehensive reports, briefing documents, and correspondence on a variety of issues in support of the Division and recommend changes in business methods and processes, including appropriate staffing levels, resource allocation, organizational design, and alternative service delivery options
  • The candidates should be able to provide confidential staffing and labor relations assistance for the Division and support service and workforce rationalization initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to provide input into and administer assigned budgets, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations
