Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Bachelor of Social Work
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should consider exposure to pets, second-hand smoke, latex products, flowers and plants and other irritants while in client homes or within facilities
- The candidates should be willing to travel within Whitehorse
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate and work within a multi-disciplinary team
- The candidates should have undergone TB screening
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be Registered Nurses
- The candidates should have experience providing case management, developing person-centred care plans and completing assessments in the respective field
- The candidates should exhibit excellent organizational, interpersonal, and conflict management skills
- The candidates should have effective oral and written communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate strong skills in working with individuals from various cultural backgrounds
- The candidates should possess the ability to take a reflective approach to their practice
- The candidates should possess a Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
- The candidates should hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- The candidates should have WHMIS 2015 certification
- The candidates should have current registration with a Canadian regulatory body

- The candidates should be able to embrace person-centered care principles, viewing healthcare as a partnership between the provider and resident, where the resident’s needs, values, priorities, and goals guide the care planning and implementation processes
- The candidates should be able to prioritize the resident as an equal partner in care planning, valuing their input and preferences throughout the process
- The candidates should be able to base every action and decision on respect for the residents, promoting their dignity, individual freedom, choice, lifestyle, and meaningful, quality living
