Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, kneel, sitting, standing, and walking
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials and prepare tenders and quotations
- The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware and maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
