Shifts: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work effectively in noisy environments and be comfortable working in dusty conditions
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload, perform physically demanding tasks, and work under tight deadlines
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- The candidates should be able to maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
