Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling, and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and a team player
- The candidates should be flexible in their approach
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- The candidates should be able to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
- The candidates should be able to schedule and coordinate work on sites
- The candidates should be able to maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
