Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and capable of working under pressure while maintaining productivity
• The candidates should have the ability to handle heavy loads safely and efficiently, and be prepared for physically demanding tasks throughout their shifts
• The candidates should pay close attention to detail in all aspects of their work and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during their duties
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods when required and be willing to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate cash registers, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
• The candidates should be able to tabulate total payment for goods or services required, receive payment, and calculate daily/shift payments received while reconciling with total sales
• The candidates should be able to engage in suggestive selling, stock shelves, clean counter areas, and greet customers
• The candidates should be able to accept reservations or take-out orders, wrap or place merchandise in bags, and weigh produce and bulk foods
• The candidates should be able to provide customer service and assist customers with self-checkout
• The candidates should be able to calculate foreign currency exchange and monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
• The candidates should be able to participate in promotional activities and verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
