Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Other Requirements:

The candidates should be accurate

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
The candidates should be able to receive payment for goods or services, calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales, and engage in suggestive selling
The candidates should be able to greet customers, wrap or place merchandise in bags, and provide customer service
The candidates should be able to monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary, and verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
