Job Description:

Salary: $34.25 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Waterloo, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend
Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Cuisine specialties: Korean
Food specialties: Cold Kitchen, Fish And Seafood, Stocks, Soups And Sauces, and Vegetables, Fruits, Nuts, And Mushrooms

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and be flexible
  • The candidates should take initiative, be organized, reliable, and a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff and create new recipes
  • The candidates should be able to instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and cook food on a regular basis or for special guests or functions and plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • The candidates should be able to train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
