Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada and prepared for occasional overnight travel
- The candidates should provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search
- The candidates should provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and provide a current and satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check
- The candidates should have and maintain a valid full stage class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle with the ability to travel on government business within the Province of Manitoba
- The candidates should be available to work evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and the after-hours stand-by rotation
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have (preferably BSW). Other combinations of education and experience may be considered at an underfill or commensurate classification and salary level. Applicants who have been educated outside of Canada must have education comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada. Applicants submitting foreign credentials require an official academic assessment report issued by a recognized Canadian assessment service
- The candidates should have the ability to work from a strength-based social work practice and identify signs of child abuse and neglect
- The candidates should have effective interpersonal skills to develop positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
- The candidates should possess strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize complex tasks or assignments in a high-volume work environment with competing demands
- The candidates should have effective written communication skills to write clear and concise correspondence to a variety of audiences, including detailed reports
- The candidates should have strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate or deliver difficult messages or information to clients and proficient with MS Office applications (Word and Outlook)
- The candidates should have case management experience (including intakes, assessments, service coordination, counselling, and monitoring) in a social service setting and/or knowledge of case management
- The candidates should have the ability to conduct safety assessments and ability to conduct child abuse investigations
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform intake procedures and conduct abuse investigations to ensure child safety and well-being
- The candidates should be able to develop comprehensive case plans to address and manage child safety concerns effectively
- The candidates should be able to coordinate support services and collaborate with collateral community agencies to provide comprehensive support to children and families
- The candidates should be able to assist with after-hour services, ensuring availability and responsiveness to the needs of children and families
- The candidates should be able to manage protection, voluntary family service, and child in care cases, ensuring the delivery of appropriate and timely services
