Salary: $16.50 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week Terms of employment

Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning
Transportation information: Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, note: this is NOT a condition of employment, and work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Asset languages: Tagalog
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided 
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, drug test, medical exam, and reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking and scent-free
• The candidates should be prepared for overtime when required and comfortable with repetitive tasks

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate flexibility, and show initiative
• The candidates should be organized, exhibit reliability, possess patience, and demonstrate honesty

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and care for pets
• The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips, assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
