Salary: $18.00 hourly for 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC
Transportation information: Public transportation is available, and travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Employer’s home and work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: First Aid Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smokers
• The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should prioritize client needs and demonstrate a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication, and exhibit excellent oral communication abilities
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing situations, show initiative in their work approach, and exercise good judgment in decision-making
• The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and priorities, and exhibit reliability in fulfilling their responsibilities consistently

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, and take children to and from school and to appointments
• The candidates should be able to tend to the emotional well-being of children and help children with homework
