Position: Child-care worker (except day care)

Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shifts: Day, Overtime, On Call
Transportation information: Own transportation, own vehicle, vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel, valid driver’s license, and public transportation is available
Supervision: 3-4 people and working groups
Target audience: Aboriginal groups, adolescents, children, and families
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office
Credentials: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate, Medication Administration certificate, First Aid certificate, and CPR certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently and demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and manage a large workload
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication
- The candidates should be focused on client satisfaction and have excellent written communication
- The candidates should be willing to collaborate, be a team player, and be organized
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare reports or case histories and perform administrative and office activities
- The candidates should be able to supervise support staff and manage office and volunteer staff, assigning duties as needed
- The candidates should be able to appraise clients’ needs, conduct follow-up assessments, and assist clients/guests with special needs
- The candidates should be able to resolve conflict situations and manage events, offering mentoring and support as necessary
- The candidates should be able to liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers, accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and manage knowledge
- The candidates should be able to maintain program statistics for evaluation and research, screen, recruit, and train volunteers and support staff
