Work setting: Employer’s home and Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• The candidates should be able to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and supervise and care for children
• The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
